What is Fenlo? The knowledge layer for engineering teams

Fenlo Team

Most engineering teams run on 15 to 30 tools. Code lives in GitHub, decisions live in Slack, specs live in Notion or Confluence, tickets live in Jira or Linear, and none of it is searchable from one place. Fenlo is a knowledge layer that connects those tools, indexes what you have access to, and answers questions with the source attached.

The problem Fenlo solves

Work is not hard because people lack context. It is hard because context is scattered across tools that do not talk to each other. A new engineer asks a question that was already answered six months ago in a Slack thread nobody can find. A senior engineer spends twenty minutes searching four apps for a decision they know exists somewhere.

Fenlo removes the search tax. One query, every connected source, results filtered to what you are already allowed to see.

What Fenlo connects

Fenlo connects 60 or more tools, including Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, GitHub, Notion, Jira, Linear, Salesforce, Zendesk, Discord, Dropbox, and Confluence. If a tool is not on the list, you can connect it through a custom MCP server or an OpenAPI action.

Three ways to use it

Search: one search bar across every connected source. Fenlo uses hybrid search, combining keyword matching with vector similarity, so exact terms and conceptual matches both surface. Results respect the same permissions you already have in the source tool.

Assistant: ask a question in plain language and get an answer with citations back to the exact document, ticket, or message it came from. If a question needs more than one document to answer, the assistant runs deep research across multiple sources before responding. If it needs information outside your company, it can search the web too, with those sources cited the same way.

Agents: custom agents scoped to specific knowledge and configured to your own instructions. Agents can take multi-step actions, like updating a ticket or drafting a document, and pause for approval before anything sensitive happens. You can share an agent with a teammate, a group, or your whole workspace.

Why permissions come first

Fenlo does not build a second permission system. It mirrors the access controls already set in your connected tools. If you cannot open a document in Google Drive, you will not see it in Fenlo search results, and no admin override changes that. When someone loses access to a source, that change syncs immediately.

Who it is for

Fenlo started with engineering teams because they feel tool sprawl first: code, tickets, docs, and chat rarely live in the same place. The same problem shows up in every function, so the platform is built to extend to marketing, HR, sales, and support without changing the underlying model.

Pricing

Fenlo has a free tier for individuals and small teams who bring their own model API keys. Paid plans start at $21 per seat per month with platform-provided AI models included, and an enterprise tier adds SSO, SCIM, audit logs, and region-specific data residency. Pricing is published, not quoted through a sales process.
